Questions & Comments

Do you believe that once a person becomes a Christian he or she is eternally secure in their salvation or do you belive that Christians can lose their salvation?

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             John H.

Thanks for the question John. One of the first episodes we do will be on this topic. The common name for this belief is "Once Saved, Always Saved." Look for an episode on this topic within a couple of weeks or so.

God is love and it would seem to me that it would be impossible for a God of love to condemn anyone to hell.

Patty J.

Hobe Sound, FL

Patty, thanks for the comment. When we consider the character of God and what He has revealed about Himself within Scripture, there is far more to God than love. He is love but He is also just. Your comment leans in the direction of divine justice and I will address this issue in a new episode very soon.

I never feel like I'm saved. I know I don't study enough although my prayer life is OK... I guess.

Betty F.

Tallahassee, FL

Thanks for the comment Betty. Millions of Christians struggle with assurance of salvation and understanding how their faith and works affect that assurance. Since this is a brand new podcast, all of its episodes are being planned... we will be sure to address this topic in one of those episodes very soon.

I accepted Christ into my heart over a year ago but I have never been baptized. Is it really necessary for me to be baptized? I was told by my preacher that baptism is simply "an outward sign of an inward faith."

James S.

Tuson, AZ

James, thanks for your question. My first question to you would be, how did you "accept Christ" into your heart? Second, I would ask your preacher, where does Scripture say that baptism is "an outward sign of an inward faith?" I will address your comments and question in our very first episode that should August 14th, 2020. Hope you will check it out and don't forget to subscribe to the channel.

God's love is unconditional! He love us regardless of the mistakes we make.

Candice B.

Louisville, KY

Hi Candice, thanks for your comments. God's love is and isn't unconditional. He loves everyone regardless of their past and their sins... in that sense, His love IS unconditional. But to receive the benefits of God's love, there are conditions. Even if you are a faith only person, you still have to believe in order to be saved. I will address God's "Unconditional Love" in one of Divine Deliberation's first few episodes.
